Sept 30: FEEDBACK & SHARING 🫶

  • You share a track you've made during the course (it's not that scary, I promise)
  • Receive constructive and uplifting feedback from me and your amazing classmates
  • The point of this class is ACCOUNTABILITY (i.e. you have to use what you've learned)

Oct 7: DEATH GRIPS - Up My Sleeves

  • Creating organic, squelchy drums with Vocoder
  • Unleashing dynamic chaos with Grain Delay and LFOs

Oct 28: Final Celebration 🎉 / Workshop

  • This class is such a vibe, I promise
  • You'll get another chance to share something you've made with your new friends
  • We will all talk about how sad we are that the class is over 😭

Extra bonus stuff that I haven't figured out yet

  • We almost always end up doing an extra session on my quick and dirty mixing/mastering method
  • I'm doing a one off workshop with an EXTRA SPECIAL GUEST this Fall and you'll get free entry
  • Also, there will be a class discord and we will all share amazing obscure music

Okay...anything else I should know?

  • Difficulty: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate (although this course caters to a range of skill levels, you should have a basic knowledge of how to navigate and use Ableton)
  • Project Files will only be compatible with Ableton 11 & 12
  • Each session we will:
    • listen to and analyze a track (so come prepared for discussion and participation)
    • break down the track’s production in Ableton - we will not be focused on exact recreation, but rather how the track can inspire our own creation
    • make music - you will be given time in session to create (you’ll also receive an Ableton project file with samples and presets so you can immediately mess around)
  • Each week there will be optional assignments - halfway through and in our final session, everyone will have the chance to share something they’ve created in the class!
